The American Alpine Journal’s account of a 2025 west-face ascent identifies Tirich Mir at 7,708 meters. This Copernicus section reaches about 7,695 meters in EGM2008. The sampled maximum lies east of the initial identity coordinate within the documented mountain section; the full boundary and exact sampled point are preserved instead of treating a generalized coordinate as a surveyed summit mark.
The local-relief view subtracts the lowest sampled point in this section: 4133.7 meters at 36.219722° latitude, 71.782778° longitude. This produces about 3,561 meters of relief within the stated boundary. It is not a universal mountain base, a route’s total ascent, or topographic prominence.
The rendered surface uses the public 2021 Copernicus release, primarily based on TanDEM-X observations from 2011–2015 with infill from other sources. It is a surface model rather than a current bare-earth survey. Neutral shading explains the geometry without claiming a snow season or photographic ground texture.
