A little more perspective
Head height changes when an animal raises or lowers its neck. Hip height is a different anatomical landmark, so two seemingly conflicting numbers can describe different parts of the same animal.
SUE was discovered in South Dakota in 1990 and lived about 67 million years ago. Even with a remarkable skeleton, some questions stay open: the museum says SUE’s sex is unknown. Good science can tell an impressive story without pretending every detail is settled.
