A little more perspective
Türkiye’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism lists Greater Ararat at 5,137 meters. The public GLO-30 tile is unavailable for this area, so this section uses the public Copernicus GLO-90 release and reaches approximately 5,107 meters in EGM2008, about 31 meters from the selected summit coordinate. Its native grid spacing is approximately 71 meters eastward and 93 meters northward here. Rendering a larger image does not add detail to that source grid. Lesser Ararat is a separate summit outside this section.
The local-relief view subtracts the lowest sampled point in this section: 2579.6 meters at 39.729167° latitude, 44.361667° longitude. This produces about 2,528 meters of relief within the stated boundary. It is not a universal mountain base, a route’s total ascent, or topographic prominence.
The rendered surface uses the public 2021 Copernicus release, primarily based on TanDEM-X observations from 2011–2015 with infill from other sources. It is a surface model rather than a current bare-earth survey. Neutral shading explains the geometry without claiming a snow season or photographic ground texture. No datum conversion or summit correction is applied.
