A little more perspective

The Philippines’ 2006 tentative-list submission for Mount Pulag, hosted by UNESCO, gives Mount Apo as 2,954 meters in its comparative-site description. That submitted reference is not a claim of World Heritage inscription or a new UNESCO survey. This Copernicus section reaches approximately 2,946 meters in EGM2008. Vegetation can contribute to this digital surface model, and the bounded base is not a hiking-route start.

The local-relief view subtracts the lowest sampled point in this section: 1092.3 meters at 6.956111° latitude, 125.318611° longitude. This produces about 1,854 meters of relief within the stated boundary. It is not a universal mountain base, a route’s total ascent, or topographic prominence.

The rendered surface uses the public 2021 Copernicus release, primarily based on TanDEM-X observations from 2011–2015 with infill from other sources. It is a surface model rather than a current bare-earth survey. Neutral shading explains the geometry without claiming a snow season or photographic ground texture. No datum conversion or summit correction is applied.
