Tajikistan’s Committee for Tourism Development lists Ismoil Somoni Peak at 7,495 meters above sea level in its April 2023 country reference. This Copernicus section reaches about 7,408 meters in EGM2008, with its maximum close to the selected summit coordinate. The lower section boundary defines the local-relief base; it is not an expedition camp or the full height of the mountain above regional plains.
The local-relief view subtracts the lowest sampled point in this section: 4246.3 meters at 38.913333° latitude, 71.953056° longitude. This produces about 3,162 meters of relief within the stated boundary. It is not a universal mountain base, a route’s total ascent, or topographic prominence.
The rendered surface uses the public 2021 Copernicus release, primarily based on TanDEM-X observations from 2011–2015 with infill from other sources. It is a surface model rather than a current bare-earth survey. Neutral shading explains the geometry without claiming a snow season or photographic ground texture. No datum conversion or summit correction is applied.
