A little more perspective
The museum describes estimates of 17 to 18 meters but also explains that other reconstructions favor 11 to 12 meters. The selected twelve meters deliberately follows the upper end of the lower range. It is not a measured maximum or an average of conflicting estimates.
The marine reptile is shown with four paddles and a vertical tail fluke, with the lower lobe larger than the upper. The neutral extended pose supports snout-to-tail comparison. Skin, coloration, soft tissues and the exact restored proportions remain interpretive.
