A little more perspective
This entry selects the researchers' named individual A 257, rather than a generic Avenue of the Baobabs tree. Height includes the complete branching crown above the ground-side base. The study gives the maximum height and a 25.70-meter circumference measured 1.30 meters above ground.
Five fused stems form its enormous trunk around a cavity. Its main forks begin about nine to ten meters up; many branches rise upward and others droop. The crown spreads 29.2 by 22.5 meters, making this tree much broader than the familiar narrow baobab silhouette. The 2021 publication is the dated profile, not a claim of a new survey today.
