A little more perspective

The study identifies one sample tree on the Shibehon Plateau with a 136-centimeter circumference at breast height and a full height of approximately six meters. Observations ran from February to June 2014; the paper appeared in January 2019.

Its mushroom-shaped crown had five successive branch divisions. The cutout represents that adult form, with a smooth gray trunk and dense rosettes of narrow leaves. The rounded six-meter value describes this individual, not a species maximum. Equipment, local plateau elevation and surrounding plants are outside the measurement.
