Triebold Paleontology lists a maximum head height of 13.7 meters for its Field Museum/O’Hare-pattern Brachiosaurus altithorax skeleton. Field Museum collections staff explain that the original mount combines casts of the North American holotype with sculpted missing bones based on Giraffatitan brancai. This is a composite exhibit reference, not a measured living Brachiosaurus.
The illustration follows the mount’s raised-neck arrangement, with the foot-contact plane and highest skull point defining height. Bone placement and lateral geometry remain interpretive.
