A little more perspective
The selected height runs from the tepui lip to the first main impact at the foot of the uninterrupted fall. Guinness separately gives 979 meters for the complete waterfall sequence.
The lower cascades account for the remainder of the total system and are outside this cutout’s endpoints. The main plume falls from Auyán-tepui’s sandstone rim, spreading into spray toward its first impact. Plateau elevation above sea level is a separate measurement.
