A little more perspective

ASI senior conservation assistant Prince Vajpayee described the main dome and mounted pinnacle at 73 meters when explaining the 2025 repair project. The finial is included. The raised marble platform appears in the complete monument view, so the comparison uses the ground-side reference rather than the dome’s own rise.

The official monument description distinguishes the main mausoleum, its drum and dome, the gilded finial and the surrounding smaller domed pavilions. The four corner minarets are lower than the main tip. The illustration omits temporary conservation scaffolding and does not claim a fresh 2026 survey.
