A little more perspective
France’s Ministry of Culture describes the rebuilt spire reaching 96 meters in its account of the cathedral’s restoration. This is the central spire’s full height above the cathedral base, rather than the height of either western bell tower.
The spire is higher than the twin west towers and must remain visible in the selected elevation. Temporary cranes and reconstruction scaffolding are excluded from the restored architectural configuration.
