A little more perspective
NHK’s World Heritage documentary description, hosted by UNESCO, gives the Colosseum a height of 48.5 meters. The bounded illustration uses the surviving high wall as its upper endpoint, rather than a reconstruction of the ancient arena’s full equipment.
The broken outer ring exposes lower inner tiers on one side. These lower remnants do not replace the highest surviving exterior endpoint. Underground passages are outside this above-ground structural view.
