A little more perspective

This entry selects UNESCO’s explicitly defined above-ground vimana height. It is the main sanctum tower, including its crowning structure, rather than an entrance gateway or the height of a different Chola temple.

Other accounts round or give different totals. The Russian summary on the same UNESCO page says 61 meters; I retain the more specific 59.82-meter measurement in the formal site description. The architectural image isolates the sanctum tower and excludes the surrounding compound.
