A little more perspective
The City of Paris gives the monument a height of 50 meters. The French Ministry of Armed Forces’ memorial-site account gives 49 meters. This comparison retains the city’s rounded overall reference and discloses the one-meter difference rather than averaging the sources.
The tall upper attic remains above the large central arch opening. The opening height cannot substitute for full monument height. Sculptural reliefs and the flat top are included, while temporary flags and street equipment are excluded. The artwork shows the narrow end elevation, with the monument’s full height retained.
