A little more perspective

On September 18, 2015, Horizon Zero Dawn director Mathijs de Jonge described the trailer’s Thunderjaw as 24 by 9 meters. His statement is reproduced in Wccftech’s contemporary coverage. This record selects the 24-meter length of that trailer-era design, rather than treating the figure as a separately measured mesh from the final 2017 game or its sequels.

The illustration extends the muzzle and segmented tail along the horizontal axis. Its stance, sensor whiskers and mounted equipment remain interpretive. The second published dimension is not independently imposed on this length comparison.

Quick facts

The Thunderjaw uses the 24-meter length given by Horizon Zero Dawn’s director for its original trailer design.
