How long is a rms titanic?

Royal Museums Greenwich distinguishes Titanic’s 882.75-foot length overall from its shorter 852.5-foot registered length.

RMS Titanic, April 1912 passenger-liner configuration. Length overall · 882.75 feet: 269.0622 meters.
Interpretive April 1912 side-profile illustration with the complete underwater hull and four funnels. Only overall bow-to-stern length is calibrated. Mast proportions were reviewed against the 1911 Shipbuilder Olympic-and-Titanic profile; that pre-service plan is a general configuration check, not a survey of Titanic’s final fittings. Mast height, rigging, deck details and submerged geometry remain illustrative. This is not an authentic photograph or engineering drawing.

A little more perspective

Royal Museums Greenwich distinguishes Titanic’s 882.75-foot length overall from its shorter 852.5-foot registered length. This entry uses the overall dimension, equivalent to 269.0622 meters. The illustrated reference is the intact passenger liner in April 1912.

The registered length and overall length come from different endpoints, so substituting one for the other would change the scale of the whole hull. The bow-to-stern reference here includes the complete ship profile. Funnels, masts and draft belong to other axes and do not define the selected length.
