The Queen Mary’s operator guide lists an overall length of 1,019.5 feet, also expressed as 310.74 meters. This entry preserves the guide’s metric reference and measures the hull from bow to stern. The illustration uses the ship’s passenger-liner appearance rather than a troopship paint scheme.

Length and height locate different endpoints on Queen Mary. The guide’s 181-foot keel-to-forward-funnel measurement ends below the masthead, so it cannot define the highest point of the whole ship. Here the horizontal hull length controls scale, while the funnels, masts and underwater hull retain illustrative vertical proportions.
