A little more perspective

Lucasfilm Story Group member Emily Shkoukani gives the first Death Star’s equatorial width as 160 kilometers in an August 2021 StarWars.com article. This record selects that current-continuity reference. An older EA Battlefront II article describes the original station as 120 kilometers across; the disagreement remains explicit.

The comparison measures across the whole circular station, not around its equator. The illustration shows the completed first station from A New Hope, with an intact spherical outline. Its surface detail conveys the design without claiming individually measured structures.
