A little more perspective

Insight Editions’ licensed behind-the-scenes text gives Buckbeak a twenty-eight-foot wingspan, equivalent to 8.5344 meters. The same reference appears in the licensed Knitting Magic Buckbeak pattern description. This entry follows the 2004 Prisoner of Azkaban film creature.

The IncrediBuilds Buckbeak book explains that the flight wings were larger than the ground version. This cutout therefore shows extended flight wings, not the folded wings of the walking creature. Its body and feather details are interpretive.

Quick facts

Licensed behind-the-scenes material gives Buckbeak a flight wingspan of twenty-eight feet.
