A little more perspective

FIBA’s 2024 equipment rules specify a horizontal ring at 3,050 millimeters, with a maximum six-millimeter tolerance. This catalog uses the nominal 3.05-meter value, not an individual court inspection.

The height marker ends at the ring while the backboard continues above it. The support is an illustrative freestanding design; its proportions are not a certified equipment drawing. Changing the reference height scales the complete illustration around the same rim anchor.

Quick facts

FIBA specifies 3.05 meters from the floor to the top of the basketball ring. The backboard extends above that level, so the whole illustration is taller than the stated rim height.
